International Roma Day 2022

21 Apr 2022

Exactly 51 years ago, on 8 April 1971, the first World Roma Congress took place near London – a decisive step on the path to raise awareness of the special situation of Roma, their discrimination and persecution. At the same time, it was a milestone for a movement demanding Roma rights. Since 1990, 8 April has been the international Roma Day of Action.

Panel discussion and concert

For the fourth time, the association “Voice of Diversity” has organised an event supported by the National Fund to mark International Roma Day on 8 April. The current situation of the Roma will be highlighted and discussed in a high-profile panel discussion, and Roma culture will be celebrated with a unique art programme.
