Taking 5 or 6 portraits, the author collected life stories and snapshots (photos/interviews/research on location) on both Holocaust survivors and on descendents, the so called second generation. The book is to illustrate how the Roma, who were anyhow always on the margins of society, are still fighting, 60 years after the war, for recognition by the majority of the population.

Anhand von 5 bis 6 Porträts sammelt der Autor Lebensgeschichten und Momentaufnahmen (Photos/Interviews/Recherchen vor Ort) sowohl über Holocaustüberlebende als auch über die Nachkommen, die sogenannte Zweite Generation. Das Buch soll verdeutlichen, wie die Volksgruppe der Roma, die ohnehin stets am Rande der Gesellschaft angesiedelt war, auch 60 Jahre nach Kriegsende noch immer um die faktische Anerkennung durch die Mehrheitsbevölkerung kämpft.
