Description
On 1st January 2004, the Jewish Community for Tyrol and Vorarlberg commenced a 4 part historical project. It consisted of a two-volume guidebook on the history of the Jews in Tyrol from the Middle Ages until present, the construction and reconstruction of a historical archive of the Jewish Community, documentation on the Jewish cemetery in Innsbruck as a service for relatives: digitalization and transcription of the Innsbruck cemetery registers, photo documentation of the tombstones, virtual portrayal of the present-day Innsbruck cemetery, site plan of the tombstones accessible on the internet and a small brochure on the history of the Jewish religious establishments in Innsbruck (synagogue and cemetery) from their beginnings until today.

Die IKG für Tirol und Vorarlberg hat am 1. Jänner 2004 begonnen, ein vierteiliges historisches Projekt zu realisieren. Es besteht aus einem zweibändigen Handbuch zur Geschichte der Juden in Tirol vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart, dem Aufbau bzw. der Rekonstruktion eines historischen Archivs der IKG, einer Dokumentation zum israelitischen Friedhof in Innsbruck als Service für Verwandte und Nachkommen: Digitalisierung und Transkription der Innsbrucker Friedhofsbücher; fotografische Dokumentation der Grabstätten, virtuelle Darstellung des heutigen Innsbrucker Friedhofs, Lageplan der Grabstätten mit Zugriff aus dem Internet und einer kleinen Broschüre zur Geschichte der religiösen Einrichtungen der Juden in Innsbruck (Synagoge und Friedhof) von den Anfängen bis heute.
