Description
This installation is an intervention into the monument by Alfred Hrdlicka on Albertinaplatz opened in 1988. The monument, dedicated to the victims of war and National Socialism, will be supplemented to include the “missing image” of the perpetrators and bystanders. The so called scouring action was documented in numerous photos; recently a film clip came to light, showing an audience watching one of these “scouring actions”. This film clip is intended to be projected on four screens surrounding the “kneeling bronze Jews”.

Bei der Installation handelt es sich um eine Intervention an dem 1988 eröffneten Denkmal von Alfred Hrdlicka auf dem Albertinaplatz. Das den Opfern von Krieg und Nationalsozialismus gewidmete Mahnmal soll durch das „fehlende Bild“ der Täter und Zuschauer ergänzt werden. Die so genannte Reibeaktion wurde auf zahlreichen Fotos festgehalten, kürzlich ist auch ein Filmclip aufgetaucht, der eine Gruppe von ZuschauerInnen bei einer „Reibeaktion“ zeigt. Dieser Filmclip soll auf vier Screens rund um den „knienden Bronzejuden“ projiziert werden.
