To mark the 60th anniversary since the beginning of National Socialist euthanasia, from 24.2 – 25.3.1999 a subject-relevant series of events took place in the 20th District which informed, called people to reflect and promoted vigilance. A central focus was the dramatization of a biographical story of the eyewitness Alois Kaufmann, who survived the hell of “Am Spiegelgrund”. “The Children of Spiegelgrund” is a play about Nazi barbarism am Steinhof – Baumgartnerhöhe, which reached a large number of school children.

Anlässlich des 60.Jahrestages des Beginns der NS-Euthanasie gibt es vom 24.2. - 25.3.1999 im 20. Bezirk eine einschlägige Veranstaltungsreihe, die informieren, zum nachdenken anregen und zur Wachsamkeit aufrütteln soll. Ein Hauptpunkt ist die Dramatisierung einer biographischen Geschichte des Zeitzeugen Alois Kaufmann, der die Hölle 'Am Spiegelgrund' überlebt hat. 'Die Kinder vom Spiegelgrund' ist ein Stück über die Nazibarbarei am Steinhof - Baumgartnerhöhe, mit dem auch möglichst viele Schüler erreicht werden sollen.
