Description
This museum is home to the history of the Jewish communities and for many years it has been striving to establish an “Austria House”. With this project, it wanted to document the history of the Austrian Jewish communities, how they lived until the Anschluss, during the Holocaust and after 1945. This material was to be incorporated into the existing database of Beth Hatefusoth on Jewish communities, biographies, synagogues and music and visual documentation. Furthermore, the material was to be used in a multimedia system and for a website in the form of a virtual exhibition on Jews in Austria.

Dieses Museum beherbergt die Geschichte jüdischer Gemeinden, und seit vielen Jahren bemüht man sich um ein Österreich-Haus. Mit diesem Projekt möchte man die Geschichte der österreichischen Gemeinden, wie sie bis zum Anschluss, während des Holocausts und nach 1945 existierten, dokumentieren. Dieses Material soll in die bestehende Datenbank über jüdische Gemeinden, Biographien, Synagogen, Musik und visuelle Dokumente des Beth Hatfusoth eingegliedert werden.
