Description
Inspired by the present situation of the Roma in Kosovo, Roma Pralipe has developed a comprehensive production on the genocide of Roma and Sinti under the Nazi regime which describes the present using the past. The project was realized on three levels: a theater production, a documentary exhibition and the performance of a specially composed piece of music. Performance: autumn 200, Vienna Cultural Center Kabelwerk. The Salzburg Provincial Theater also demonstrated an interest.

Aus Anlass der aktuellen Situation der Roma im Kosovo erarbeitet das Roma Pralipe eine umfassende Produktion, die den Genozid an Sinti und Roma während des NS-Regimes thematisiert und durch die Vergangenheit von der Gegenwart erzählt. Das Projekt wird auf drei Ebenen realisiert: Theatervorstellung, dokumentarische Ausstellung und Aufführung eines dafür komponierten musikalischen Werkes. Aufführung: Herbst 2000, Wien Kulturzentrum Kabelwerk. Das Salzburger Landestheater hat auch bereits Interesse bekundet.
