In light of the reticence in dealing with the gypsy genocide and its effects on the following generations, ARTBRUT considered it important to make a film on this subject. They believe that nothing can make the consequences of the past clearer than testimonies of survivors and reports from descendents of the victims. In their film they wanted to give the suffering actual names and faces.

In Anbetracht der zögerlichen Auseinandersetzung mit dem 'Zigeunergenozid' und dessen Auswirkungen auf die nachfolgenden Generationen erscheint es ARTBRUT wichtig, dieser Thematik einen filmischen Beitrag zu widmen. Sie sind der Meinung, dass nichts die Vergangenheit und die ihr folgende Gegenwart deutlicher vor Augen führen kann, als die Zeugnisse von Überlebenden und die Berichte der Nachkommen von Opfern. Mit ihrem Film wollen sie dem Leid konkrete Gesichter und Namen geben.
