The History of the Jews in Austria is a special volume of the series “Austria’s History” by Herwig Wolfram. The Institute for Jewish History in Vienna, whose projects are successfully sponsored by the National Fund, requested sponsorship for the academic work by Dr. Albert Lichtblau, who is writing the contemporary history section of the volume. On the basis of a discussion forum on the internet, an intensive exchange of ideas with fellow experts from around the world. The project as a whole represents the attempt to write a history of the Jews in line with modern requirements within a certain area.

Geschichte der Juden in Österreich' ist ein Sonderband in der Reihe 'Geschichte Österreichs' von Herwig Wolfram. Das Institut für Geschichte der Juden in Österreich, dessen Projekte der Nationalfonds erfolgreich unterstützt, bittet um Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit von Dr. Albert Lichtblau, der den zeitgeschichtlichen Teil der gesamten Arbeit übernimmt. Auf der Basis eines Diskussionsforums im Internet wird ein intensiver Meinungsaustausch mit Fachkollegen in aller Welt stattfinden. Das gesamte Projekt ist der Versuch eine modernsten Erfordernissen entsprechende Geschichte der Juden in einem bestimmten Raum zu schreiben.
