Description

The USA, particularly New York, was a place of refuge for many Austrians who had to leave their homeland due to the “Nuremberg Laws”. In 1938, 30,000 refugees arrived the USA, having arrived there directly or indirectly. Today, they and their descendents form the largest group of Austrian exiles. It is important to carry out research into history of their flight and their fates.
