The second international conference was to take place within the scope of the "Holocaust Remembrance Day in Lithuania" on 23 September 2002. It took place in Vilnius, the former Jerusalem of the East which testifies to the lively past of Jewish culture and society in this region. The way in which the past and the Holocaust is being dealt with in Lithuania is subject to international interest.

Die zweite internationale Konferenz soll im Rahmen 'The Holocaust Remembrance Day in Lithuania' am 23. September 2002 stattfinden. Veranstaltungsort ist die Stadt Vilnius (Wilna), das frühere Jerusalem des Ostens, welche für die lebhafte Vergangenheit der jüdischen Kultur und Gesellschaft dieser Region zeugt. Die intensiven internationalen Auseinandersetzungen mit der Vergangenheit und dem Holocaust in Litauen stoßen auf internationales Interesse.
