Project

Description

In her work as a journalist for German television, in the 70s Renata Erich made films on synagogues, Jewish cemeteries and people who had survived the Holocaust in places behind the Iron Curtain. Many recordings in Czernovitz, Sighet, several places in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, however above all in Romania, which no longer exist were recorded both in audio and video form. Renata Erich would like to safeguard this rare film material, in edited form, for posterity.
