Description
The Year of Remembrance 2005 was an occasion for the Association to introduce the music and poetry of the Roma. The Association was able to obtain the well-known, exceptional musician from a Viennese Lovara family, Harri Stoika, for the idea of editing his family’s traditional songs and introducing them to the public in the form of a CD production 'Gitancoeur'. The CD was presented on 22 October 2005 in the Glass Hall of the Musikverein in combination with video projections.

Das Gedenkjahr 2005 ist für den Verein ein Anlass, die Musik und die Poesie der Roma besonders vorzustellen. Der Verein konnte den bekannten, aus einer Wiener Lovara-Familie stammenden Ausnahmemusiker Harri Stojka für die Idee gewinnen, die noch überlieferten Lieder seiner Familie neu zu bearbeiten und im Rahmen einer CD-Produktion, 'Gitancoeur', einer breiten Öffentlichkeit vorzustellen. Die CD soll in Kombination mit Video-Projektionen am 22. Oktober 2005 im 'Gläsernen Saal' des Musikvereins präsentiert werden.
