An educational project for teachers in Austrian schools which should then profit from the added proficiency of the teachers. Historical and methodical didactical knowledge on the subject of the Holocaust and the Nazi regime was reflected on. Great emphasis was placed on the optimized conveyance of this knowledge. The project was accompanied by well-known historians. Between preparation and follow up seminars, the teachers were sent to Yad Vashem (central Israeli Holocaust memorial and research site in Jerusalem) to the “International School for Holocaust Studies” for 12 day seminars.

Ein Vermittlungsprojekt für Lehrende und Lernende an österreichischen Schulen, die durch die Professionalisierung der LehrerInnen profitieren sollen. Historisches und methodisch-didaktisches Wissen zum Thema Holocaust und Nazi-Regime wird reflektiert. Auf die optimierte Vermittlung dieses Wissens wird großer Wert gelegt. Das Projekt wird von namhaften Historikern begleitet. Zwischen Vor- und Nachbereitungsseminaren werden LehrerInnen nach 'Yad Vashem' (zentrale israelische Holocaust-, Gedenk- und Forschungsstätte in Jerusalem) in die 'International School for Holocaust Studies' zu zwölftägigen Seminaren geschickt.
