To mark it tenth anniversary, the exile library planned a series of events. Taking into account the focus of the Austrian exile library’s work – literature, art and the intellectual history of exile, the project “A Shared Memory” dealt with the aesthetics of exile in the context of personal stories. The exhibition, which is in fitting with this subject, was planned for November 2003. 20-25 family stories were shown on 40 boards, photographed by Alisa Douer. The accompanying publication contains accompanying text from experts and autobiographical and literary contributions.

Die Exilbibliothek plant anlässlich des zehnjährigen Bestehens eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen. Dem Arbeitsschwerpunkt der österreichischen Exilbibliothek auf Literatur, Kunst und Geistesgeschichte des Exils Rechnung tragend, beschäftigt sich das Projekt 'Geteilte Erinnerung / A Shared Memory' mit den Ästhetiken des Exils im Kontext des Biografischen. Die zum Thema passende Ausstellung ist für November 2003 geplant. Gezeigt werden 20-25 exemplarische Familiengeschichten auf 40 Tafeln, fotografiert von Frau Alisa Douer. Die Begleitpublikation enthält begleitende Texte von Fachleuten sowie autobiografische und literarische Berichte.
