Description
As in the year before, the structure and development related to supervising schools, educational institutions, vocational and further educational institutions and institutions for health and social services. Emphasis is placed on the educational work of the educational and memorial site. In 2004, these groups constituted over 70 % of all visitors. For this reason the “study collection”, a mobile means of transport for school lessons was further developed, as was the educational program “Memorial site and documentation of National Socialist euthanasia”, which is aimed at ages 14+ and enables a sophisticated confrontation with the subject of National Socialist euthanasia at Castle Hartheim.

Aufbau und Entwicklung werden sich wie im Vorjahr auf die Betreuung von Schulen, Bildungseinrichtungen, berufsbildenden und fortbildenden Einrichtungen sowie Institutionen des Sozial- und Gesundheitswesen beziehen. Hier liegt der Schwerpunkt der pädagogischen Arbeit des Lern- und Gedenkortes. Im Jahre 2004 betrug der Anteil dieser Gruppen weit über 70% der BesucherInnen. Aus diesem Grund sollen die 'Studiensammlung', ein mobiles Transportmedium für den Schulunterricht und das jetzt schon angebotene Vermittlungsprogramm 'Gedenkstätte und Dokumentation NS-Euthanasie', das sich an SchülerInnen ab dem 14. Lebensjahr richtet und eine differenzierte Auseinandersetzung mit der NS-Euthanasie in Schloss Hartheim ermöglichen soll, weiterentwickelt werden.
