One point of focus of the research was the biographies of victims and perpetrators in Castle Hartheim as well as the further development of the memorial site as regards the biographical presentation of the victims both in the documentation of the history of euthanasia in Hartheim and in the memorial rooms.

Einen Schwerpunkt der Erforschung sollen auch die Biographien von Opfern und Tätern in Schloss Hartheim bilden sowie die Weiterentwicklung der Gedenkstätte hinsichtlich biographischer Präsentation der Opfer sowohl in der Dokumentation der Geschichte der Euthanasie in Hartheim als auch in den Gedenkräumen.
