Description
The retirement home Pisgat Ahuza is in Tel Aviv and is home to many Holocaust survivors. A special therapy room was planned for residents and patients with dementia, based on the idea of balance between relaxation and activity. The aim of the treatment is to reduce patients’ hyperactivity and aggression and to move passive patients to be more active. The outcome is an improvement in balance, movement, concentration and perception.

In Tel Aviv existiert das Pensionistenheim Pisgat Ahuza, wo viele Holocaustüberlebende leben. Für Heimbewohner und Patienten mit Demenz wurde ein spezieller Therapieraum geplant und eingerichtet, basierend auf der Idee der Balance zwischen Entspannung und Aktivität des Patienten. Ziel der Behandlung ist einerseits die Verminderung der Hyperaktivität und Aggression von Patienten, andererseits sollen passive Patienten zu mehr Aktivität bewogen werden. Eine Verbesserung von Balance und Bewegung sowie von Konzentration und Wahrnehmung soll durch die Behandlung erfolgen.
