Striving for Life - To be a Woman During the Holocaust Wanderausstellung

 

The focus of the exhibition was the documentation of women’s lives during the Shoah and the portrayal of women’s roles during the connected events. The exhibition was conceived according to the principle of the cycle of life. Youth, maturity – daily life, family, birth and motherhood – and old age. The long shadow of the Shoah and the struggles of women in each of these stages of life will be portrayed.

Die Ausstellung legt ihren Schwerpunkt auf die Dokumentation von Lebensabläufen von Frauen während der Shoah und auf die Darstellung der Rolle von Frauen während der damit verbundenen Ereignisse. Die Ausstellung ist nach dem Prinzip des Lebenszyklus konzipiert: Jugend, Reife - Alltagsleben, Familie, Geburt und Mutterschaft - und Alter. Der lange Schatten der Shoah sowie der Kampf der Frauen in jedem dieser Lebensabschnitte werden vorgeführt.
