Description
The Humanitarian Aid Foundation (HAF) supports Holocaust survivors living in the USA who require assistance. The support provided comprises nursing, psychological support and socialization projects. The HAF runs projects in 31 states of the USA; seven of them have moved into the administrative area of New York. This is where the greatest number of Holocaust survivors from Austria live. According to surveys, around 10 % of Holocaust survivors in the USA are originally from Austria. This group will also profit from the HAF’s programs in the future.

Die Humanitarian Aid Foundation (HAF) unterstützt Holocaust Überlebende, die in den USA leben und auf Hilfe angewiesen sind. Die geleistete Unterstützung beinhaltet Krankenpflegedienste, psychologische Betreuung und Sozialisationsprojekte. Die HAF leitet Projekte in 31 Städten der USA wobei sieben davon im Verwaltungsbereich von New York angesiedelt sind. Hier wohnt die größte Gruppe der Holocaust Überlebenden aus Österreich. Erhebungen zufolge sind ungefähr 10 % der Holocaust Überlebenden in den USA ursprünglich aus Österreich. Diese Gruppe wird auch künftig von den Programmen des HAF profitieren.
