Project

Description

Most of the Holocaust survivors in Belgrade, Serbia, are old and chronically ill and have difficulty caring for themselves. Many live off the state pension and live on the poverty line. They rely on the social assistance of the Jewish Community in their daily lives. The Joint Distribution Committee planned a Day Car Center which – in cooperation with the Belgrade Jewish Community – cares for 200 of these needy Holocaust survivors.
