At the time of the liberation, there were approximately 35,000 dead found in Bergen-Belsen. The survivors were mostly extremely weak and sick, around 13,000 of them died after the liberation. Through in-depth interviews with Ceija Stojka which concentrated on her situation in Bergen-Belsen and the liberation by the British Army, it was attempted to gain an idea of the conditions in her part of the camp and to investigate her physical and mental strategies of survival. How she later continued to live her daily life until today with these memories was also a subject of discussion.

Bei der Befreiung befanden sich etwa 35.000 Tote im KZ Bergen-Belsen. Die Überlebenden waren großteils extrem geschwächt und krank, etwa 13.000 von ihnen starben noch nach der Befreiung. Durch Tiefeninterviews mit Ceija Stojka, die sich auf ihre Situation in Bergen-Belsen und die Befreiung durch die britische Armee konzentrieren, soll eine Annäherung an die in ihrem Lagerabteil herrschenden Bedingungen versucht und den physischen und psychischen Überlebensstrategien nachgegangen werden. Das Weiterleben mit dieser Erinnerung im späteren und gegenwärtigen Alltag wird ebenfalls thematisiert werden.
