At the Austrian memorial in the Auschwitz museum, a banner with a text in four languages (German, Polish, English, Hebrew) was erected. The text, written in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Federal Chancellery, the Office of the President and other departments informs visitors that the exhibition no longer complies with Austria’s modern understanding of its history and, above all, that Austria had made extensive efforts in the last ten years to make a contribution through material compensation.

In der österreichischen Gedenkstätte im Museum Auschwitz soll ein Banner mit einem Text in vier Sprachversionen (Deutsch, Polnisch, Englisch und Hebräisch) angebracht werden. Dieser vom BmAA in Wien mit dem BKA, der Präsidentschaftskanzlei und anderen Stellen koordinierte Text weist darauf hin, dass die Ausstellung nicht mehr ganz der heutigen Sicht entspricht, vor allem, dass Österreich in den letzten zehn Jahren stark bemüht war, auch durch materielle Entschädigungen einen Beitrag zu leisten.
