The synagogue of the former Jewish community of Kobersdorf is the only community synagogue of the famous seven communities 'Shewa Kehilot' in Burgenland which still exists today. After decades of decay, the synagogue was restored as a memorial. Through research into historical buildings, questions on the genesis and architectural history of the building were answered. Research was also carried out into the history and fate of the synagogue.

Die Synagoge der einstigen jüdischen Gemeinde von Kobersdorf ist die einzige erhaltene Gemeindesynagoge der berühmten 'Siebengemeinden', 'Shewa Kehilot' im Burgenland. Nach jahrzehntelangem Verfall der Synagoge wird sie heute als Denkmal und Mahnmal erhalten. Mit der historischen Bauforschung sollen Fragen der Entstehung- und Architekturgeschichte des Gebäudes beantwortet, aber auch die Geschichte und das Schicksal der Synagoge erforscht werden.
