The project had two aims. The first was to portray the state organization and implementation of property seizure in Styria. How the property seizure was organized and who were the main figures acting for the state? The second aim was a comprehensive and complete as possible investigation into “aryanized” Jewish property in Styria under National Socialism. This included trade/commerce, industry and property but above all, also the areas of association property, foundations, funds and liquid assets.

Das beantragte Projekt setzt sich zwei Ziele. Das erste Ziel soll eine Darstellung der staatlichen Organisation und Durchführung des Vermögensentzuges in der Steiermark sein. Wie wurde der Vermögensentzug in der Steiermark behördlich organisiert, und wer waren die maßgeblichen Akteure auf staatlicher Seite. Das zweite Ziel besteht in einer umfangreichen und der Quellenlage entsprechenden vollständigen Erhebung des in der Steiermark in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus 'arisierten' jüdischen Eigentums. Dieses umfasst neben Handel/Gewerbe, Industrie und Liegenschaften vor allem auch die Bereiche von Vereinsvermögen, Stiftungen, Fonds und Barvermögen.
