Traveling exhibition, 'Don't back down'

The exhibition was displayed for the first time on 24 November 2005 on the premises of ESRA, 1020 Vienna, Tempelgasse 5. It could be viewed there until the end of January 2006 was then exhibited in Kramer's place of birth, Niederhollabrunn (Lower Austria). In turn, Kramer’s escape from Austria to Great Britain and its background, the internment as an “enemy alien” on the Isle of Man, daily life in exile and the intensive and wide ranging correspondence of Kramer were illuminated and the background, circumstances and tragic results of Kramer’s late return from exile were portrayed in detail.

Die Ausstellung wird erstmals am 24. November 2005 in den Räumen der ESRA, 1020 Wien, Tempelg. 5, präsentiert. Sie wird dort bis Ende Jänner 2006 zu sehen sein und danach in den Geburtsort Kramers, Niederhollabrunn (NÖ), übersiedeln. Nach den Abschnitten, die die Flucht Kramers aus Österreich nach Großbritannien und ihre Vorgeschichte, die Internierung als 'feindlicher Ausländer' auf der Isle of Man, den Alltag des Exils und die intensive und weitgespannte Korrespondenz Kramers beleuchten, werden ausführlich die Vorgeschichte, Umstände und tragischen Resultate der späten Rückkehr Kramers aus dem Exil dargestellt.
