Cantoral Concert

In 2005, within the scope of the year of remembrance “60 years after the Shoah“ a cantoral concert, in which works by cantors and composers who were murdered during the Shoah were performed, was held in the City Temple. In addition to the cantor of the City Temple, Chief Cantor Shmuel Barzilai, the rabbinate invited guest cantors from abroad who performed with piano accompaniment well known and almost forgotten cantoral songs and Yiddish music from the Stettl.

Das Rabbinat veranstaltet heuer im Rahmen des Gedenkjahres '60 Jahre nach der Shoah' ein Kantorenkonzert im Stadttempel, bei dem Werke von in der Shoah ermordeten Komponisten und Kantoren zur Aufführung gebracht werden. Außer dem Kantor des Stadttempels, Herrn Oberkantor Shmuel Barzilai, ladet das Rabbinat auch Gastkantoren aus dem Ausland ein, die mit Klavierbegleitung bekannte, aber auch fast vergessene kantorale Gesänge und jiddische Musik aus dem 'Stejtl' zu Gehör bringen.
