The 3rd seminar (3-5 December 2006) was aimed at teachers throughout Austria who visit memorial sights with their pupils. The annual seminar essentially has two goals: the way in which teachers experience the Mauthausen memorial is discussed and what and how people learn there. Both dimensions are aimed at strengthening their methodical-didactical and historical content abilities of the teachers and to give them the opportunity to reflect on their own academic practices.

Das Seminar 3. Seminar (3.-5. Dezember 2006) richtet sich an LehrerInnen aus ganz Österreich, welche mit SchülerInnen die Gedenkstätte besuchen. Das Seminar verfolgt im Wesentlichen zwei Ziele: In ihm wird thematisiert, wie Lehrerinnen und Lehrer die Gedenkstätte Mauthausen erleben und was bzw. wie sich in der Gedenkstätte lernen lässt. Beide Dimensionen zielen einmal darauf ab, die methodisch-didaktischen und historisch-inhaltlichen Kompetenzen der LehrerInnen zu stärken sowie ihnen Gelegenheit zur Reflexion eigener schulischer Praxis zu bieten.
