Begegnung mit Geschichte - Lernen für die Zukunft Jahrestagung 2006 des Internationalen Rats der Christen und Juden ICCJ

 

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Coordination Committee for Christian Jewish Cooperation the annual conference 2006 of the International Council of Christians and Jews (ICCJ) took place in Vienna (2-5 July, Kardinal König Haus). The conferences are held in historical locations, visits are undertaken in order to become acquainted with the background and social surroundings of every era. Many of them are not as well known or atmospheric as concentration camp memorials but also have something to say through their presence.

Zum 50-jährigen Bestehen des Koordinierungsausschusses für christlich-jüdische Zusammenarbeit findet die Jahrestagung 2006 des Internationalen Rats der Christen und Juden (ICCJ) in Wien (2. bis 5. Juli, Kardinal König Haus) statt. Die Konferenz setzt an diesen geschichtsträchtigen Orten an, besucht sie, lernt die Hintergründe und das gesellschaftliches Umfeld jener Zeit kennen. Viele von ihnen haben nicht die Bekanntheit und Ausstrahlung einer KZ-Gedenkstätte, doch haben auch sie durch ihre Gegenwart etwas zu sagen.
