The monograph by Dr. Ronald Faber deals with the restitution of seized, predominantly Jewish property in Austria after 1945. The special legislation under public law, in a field of law which otherwise for the most part belongs to the field of private law, i.e. the First and Second Restitution Acts, is subjected to closer inspection. These Acts govern the restitution of seized assets which were publicly-owned after the collapse of the National Socialist regime.

Die Monographie von Dr. Ronald Faber beschäftigt sich mit der Rückstellung entzogener, zumeist jüdischer Vermögen in Österreich nach 1945. Näherer Gegenstand sind die öffentlich-rechtlichen Sondergesetze in einem Rechtsgebiet, das ansonsten überwiegend zum Privatrecht zählt, nämlich das Erste und das Zweite Rückstellungsgesetz (RStG). Diese regeln die Rückgabe von entzogenem Vermögen, das sich nach dem Ende der nationalsozialistischen Herrschaft in der Hand des Staates befand.
