Description

Friedl Dicker-Brandeis was a student of, among others, Walter Gropius and Paul Klee. She was very well known in the Bauhaus era. When she was deported to Theresienstadt, she acted as a drawing teacher for children (over 500 pictures which resulted from this are at a museum in Prague today). The exhibition was the first to portray her entire work. It was preceded by exhibitions in Moscow, Prague, Vienna (1989), Basel, Jerusalem and Frankfurt.
