Description
Due to the large number of visitors to the Mauthausen Memorial, it was important to the exhibition’s curators that the exhibition appeal not only to academics, students and visitors to the memorial but also to school students. The aim of the exhibition was to bring the school students a step closer to history and to make them more sensitive to the subject National Socialism.

Aufgrund der hohen BesucherInnenfrequenz der Gedenkstätte Mauthausen ist es ein Anliegen der Ausstellung, neben Universitätsangehörigen, Studierenden und den BesucherInnen der Gedenkstätte vor allem Schülerinnen und Schüler als Zielpublikum anzusprechen. Ziel der Ausstellung ist dabei, den Schülerinnen und Schülern ein Stück Geschichte näher zu bringen und sie für das Thema 'Nationalsozialismus' und 'Holocaust' zu sensibilisieren.
