Buchprojekt 'NS-Gewalt gegen KZ-Häftlinge am Loibl/Ljubelj im Spiegel britischer Prozessakte und im Lichte der Kärntner Medien'

 

Although several worthy studies on the Loibl concentration camp have been carried out since the mid 1990s, so far no one has attempted to systematically portray the largest Carinthian war trial before the British military tribunal against the concentration camp guards on 10 October 1947 on the basis of court investigations, nor have there been studies dealing with the biography of the camp doctor Dr. Sigbert Ransauer, who, after his amnesty, worked as a GP in Klagenfurt until the late 1980s. This omission in contemporary historical research will was to be rectified with this project.

Obwohl nun seit Mitte der 1990er-Jahre einige verdienstvolle Forschungsarbeiten zum Loibl-KZ erschienen sind, wurde bislang allerdings weder der Versuch unternommen, den größten Kärntner Kriegsverbrecherprozess vor dem Britischen Militärgericht gegen die KZ-Wachmannschaft am 10. Oktober 1947 auf Basis der Untersuchungen des Gerichts systematisch darzustellen, noch gibt es bis dato Arbeiten, die sich mit der Biographie des Lagerarztes Dr. Sigbert Ramsauer, der nach seiner Amnestierung bis in die späten 1980er Jahre in Klagenfurt als praktischer Arzt ordinierte, beschäftigen. Dieses Desiderat der Zeitgeschichtsforschung wird in diesem Projekt aufgegriffen.
