Following in the steps of Leopoldstadt, stations of remembrance are now also to be placed in Alsergrund in memory of Jewish men, women and children who lived in this district before the National Socialist assumption of power. This project was to contain nine stations, two of which have sadly become well known due to the number of deportations: the former Jewish Old People’s Home in Seegasse 9 (1223 people was deported from there) and the orphanage in the Grünentorgasse (123 people were deported from there). At the request of their families, remembrance plaques were to be mounted there and in seven other places.

Nach Vorbild der Leopoldstadt soll nun auch im Alsergrund 'Stationen der Erinnerung' beispielhaft der jüdischen Männer, Frauen und Kinder gedenken, die vor der Machtergreifung der Nationalsozialisten in diesem Bezirk gelebt haben. Dieses Projekt soll neun Stationen beinhalten, von denen zwei durch die Deportation von vielen Menschen traurige Bekanntheit erlangt haben: das ehemalige jüdische Altersheim in der Seegasse 9 (von dort wurden 1223 Personen deportiert) und das Waisenhaus in der Grünentorgasse 26 (aus dem 123 Menschen deportiert worden sind). Auf Wunsch von Angehörigen sollen dort sowie bei sieben weiteren Stationen Erinnerungstafeln angebracht werden.
