Description
The book focuses on Edith Kramer’s pioneering work as an art therapist and artist who had to leave Austria in 1938. The book is divided into three parts: the first part introduces Edith Kramer as an outstanding artist of the last century and her links to Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and their work together in Prague 1934 to 1938. The second part contains the contributions of the speakers at the international symposium in 2014 as well as those of companions, friends and students. The third and final part portrays the art therapy scene in Austria and its many and varied approaches.

Im Mittelpunkt steht die Pionierleistung der Edith Kramer als Kunsttherapeutin und Künstlerin, die Österreich im Jahr 1938 verlassen musste. Das Buch gliedert sich in drei Teile: Im ersten Teil wird Edith Kramer als herausragende Künstlerin des letzten Jahrhunderts und ihr Bezug zu Friedl Dicker-Brandeis und die gemeinsame Arbeit in Prag 1934-1938 vorgestellt. Im zweiten Teil werden die Beiträge aller Referentinnen des Internationalen Symposiums 2014 vorkommen, sowie Wegbegleiterinnen, Freunde und Studentinnen. Der abschließende dritte Teil stellt die kunsttherapeutische Landschaft in Österreich mit ihren unterschiedlichen Zugängen dar.
