The Nazis used the assassination carried out by a young Polish Jew at the German Embassy in Paris as a welcome opportunity to legalize the persecution of all Jews in the German Reich. The night of the 9th to 10th November 1938 has gone down in history as one of the most violent in history. Innsbruck was not spared the terror of the Night of Broken Glass either. For the first time, renowned contemporary historian Thomas Albrich and a group of students introduce all of the perpetrators and other people involved in this horrific night of terror in Innsbruck. Using newly discovered documents and protocols, the volume contains 70 individual biographies with new information and names that arise in relation to the Night of Broken Glass in Innsbruck. The individual biographies of around 70 men and women are full of detail and offer a wealth of background information. All perpetrators who were convicted, died in combat, fled abroad as well as unpunished perpetrators from Innsbruck and Tyrol are named, using archive photos and new documents and protocols.

Das Attentat eines jungen polnischen Juden in der Deutschen Botschaft in Paris nutzten die Nationalsozialisten als willkommenen Anlass, um gegen alle Juden im Deutschen Reich gesetzlich vorzugehen. Die Nacht vom 9. auf den 10. November 1938 ging als eine der gewaltvollsten in die Geschichte ein. Auch Innsbruck war vom Terror der „Reichskristallnacht“ nicht ausgenommen. Erstmals stellen der renommierte Zeithistoriker Thomas Albrich und eine Gruppe Studierender alle Täter und Beteiligten dieser grausamen Nacht in Innsbruck vor. Anhand neu entdeckter Dokumente und Protokolle zeigt der Band in über 70 Einzelbiographien neue Informationen und Namen auf, die in Zusammenhang mit der „Reichskristallnacht“ in Innsbruck auftauchen. Die Einzelbiographien von rund 70 Männern und Frauen sind detailreich und mit vielen Hintergrundinformationen aufbereitet. Alle verurteilten, gefallenen, ins Ausland geflüchteten sowie unbestraften Täter aus Innsbruck und Tirol werden anhand von Archivbildern und neuen Dokumenten und Protokollen genannt.
