Administration, management and costs for all activities, projects, tasks, running costs and upkeep of the organization of the “Central Committee” of Jews from Austria in Israel – in order that all of these programs can be run and events, assistance and social endeavors can take place, the Central Committee of Jews from Austria in Israel requires an annual financial contribution. All the efforts and assistance provided to date have been able to help many people throughout Israel. Additional activities in Jerusalem and Haifa have been introduced and carried out with great success. For many Holocaust survivors from Israel, this place is the only point of contact beyond their homes. They are not getting younger and are often lonely and sick. The Committee organizes day-to-day services for them such as meals, company, exercise, doctor’s visits or similar. These social services have become a part of the lives of people who did not cope well with their forced emigration and have found a connection to their homeland here. That is why it is so important that the National Fund continue to support these activities and ensures that, for as long as there are Holocaust survivors from Austria in Israel, this organization exists to support them if they need it. The project sponsorship of the offices in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem by the National Fund is also an opportunity for the Republic of Austria to show those who were once banished that Austria is not abandoning them now.

Administration, Verwaltung und Aufwand für alle Aktivitäten, Projekte, Aufgaben, laufende Kosten und Erhaltung der Organisation des „Central Committee“ der Jüdinnen und Juden aus Österreich in Israel – damit all diese Programme durchgeführt werden sowie Veranstaltungen, Hilfeleistungen und soziales Engagement stattfinden können, benötigt das „Central Committee of Jews from Austria in Israel“ einen jährlichen finanziellen Beitrag. Alle Bemühungen und Hilfeleistungen haben bis heute vielen betroffenen Menschen in gesamt Israel helfen können. Es wurden zusätzliche Aktivitäten in Jerusalem und in Haifa mit großem Erfolg gestartet und durchgeführt. Für viele Holocaust-Überlebende aus Österreich ist dieser Platz die einzige Kontaktstelle außerhalb ihrer Wohnung geworden. Die Menschen werden nicht jünger, leiden oft an Einsamkeit und Krankheit. Der Verein organisiert für sie viele alltägliche Dienste, wie Essen, Gesellschaft, Bewegung, Arztbesuche oder Ähnliches. Diese sozialen Dienstleistungen sind somit ein Teil des Lebens dieser Menschen geworden, welche die erzwungene Emigration nicht verwunden haben und an dieser Stelle einen Heimatbezug gefunden haben. Umso wichtiger ist es, dass der Nationalfonds all diese Aktivitäten weiterhin unterstützt und dafür sorgt, dass – solange es noch Holocaust-Überlebende aus Österreich in Israel gibt – diese eine Stelle haben, wohin sie sich wenden können. Durch die Projektförderung des Nationalfonds für die Klubs und Büros in Tel Aviv und Jerusalem erhält die Republik Österreich die Möglichkeit, den einst vertriebenen Menschen zu zeigen, dass Österreich sie jetzt nicht im Stich lässt.
