The aim of the project was to research Jewish ways of living in the house and its surroundings and activate the memories still in existence, as well as to carry out research in archives, to understand these ways of life in their original socio-cultural context and to render the building and area visible in the present. The outcomes were presented to the public in a temporary exhibition, in permanent memorial-like installations in Herklotzgasse 21, through tours of the district, publications and a website.

Ziel des Projektes ist die Formen jüdischen Lebens in dem Haus und seiner Umgebung zu erforschen, sowohl durch Aktivierung der noch bestehenden lebendigen Erinnerung sowie durch archivarische Recherche, als auch diese Lebensformen in ihrem ursprünglichen soziokulturellen Kontext zu verstehen und in der Gegenwart des Hauses und Viertels wieder sichtbar zu machen. Die Ergebnisse sollen öffentlich präsentiert werden, in einer temporären Ausstellung, in permanenten Installationen mit Denkmal-Charakter in der Herklotzgasse 21, durch Führungen im Bezirk und durch Publikationen und eine Homepage.
