The Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict Research will also be organizing workshops in 2018. These workshops deal with structural and cultural violence during and after World War II; the aspects of violence and its “human side”; of perpetrators, victims and “the others”. The following questions/topics will be discussed with students in an age and knowledge-appropriate manner and will be elaborated interactively: “Resistance – what does this mean?”; “What can we learn from the past?”, “Reparation – is that possible?”. The aim is to gain an understanding of the fact that today’s violence prevention can be obtained by learning from the past. In the framework of the project a workshop comprises 5 teaching hours, and each workshop ends with a final feedback session.

Das Österreichische Studienzentrum für Frieden und Konfliktforschung wird auch im Jahr 2018 Workshops anbieten. Diese Workshops behandeln strukturelle und kulturelle Gewalt während und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg; Gewaltdimensionen und ihre „menschliche Seite“; von Tätern, Opfern und „den anderen“. Folgende Fragen/Themen werden mit SchülerInnen alters- und wissensadäquat diskutiert und interaktiv erarbeitet: „Widerstand – was heißt das?“; „Was können wir aus der Vergangenheit lernen?“, „Wiedergutmachung – ist das möglich?“. Das Ziel dabei ist es, Verständnis dafür zu erlangen, dass Gewaltprävention heute auch heißen muss von gestern zu lernen. Ein Workshop im Rahmen des Projekts dauert fünf Unterrichtsstunden, wobei dieser jeweils mit einer Feedbackrunde beendet wird.
