On October 20 2018 a commemorative gala concert of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) with its longtime musical director Zubin Metha will take place in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. The concert is intended as a tribute to all the Austrian Jewish musicians who lost their homes and identities as artists and in many cases lost their lives. A commemorative plaque in remembrance of all these musicians in order to erect an enduring memorial in their honor would be a significant and conciliatory gesture.

Am 20. Oktober 2018 wird das Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) gemeinsam mit seinem langjährigen musikalischen Leiter Maestro Zubin Mehta im Goldenen Saal des Musikvereins ein Galagedenkkonzert geben. Neben der künstlerischen Relevanz hat dieses Konzert eine tiefe Symbolik, nicht zuletzt da 2018 ein Gedenkjahr ist und dem Anschluss Österreichs speziell gedacht wurde.
