Micha Shagrir is an icon and pillar of Israeli film, who talks about Austria, especially Linz, and makes a voyage of discovery. Micha Shagrir was born on 11 May 1937 in Linz as Michael Schwager. "I am the last Jewish-born child in Linz before the Anschluss" he says. The Schwager family lives in the house next to the Eichmann family, who own an electrical shop and a tailor shop. The Schwager family owns a confectionary shop. The Schwager Zuckerl logo is a city symbol throughout Linz. Like many Jewish citizens, his family is disenfranchised, robbed and expelled from Linz. They only just manage to escape the systematic machinery of extermination.

Micha Shagrir ist eine Ikone und Säule des israelischen Films, der über Österreich, insbesondere über Linz, redet und eine Entdeckungsreise macht. Micha Shagrir wird am 11.05.1937 in Linz als Michael Schwager geboren. „Ich bin das letzte jüdisch geborene Kind in Linz vor dem Anschluss“ sagt er. Die Familie Schwager lebt im Haus neben der Familie Eichmann, der ein Elektrogeschäft und eine Schneiderei gehört. Die Familie Schwager besitzt ein Zuckerlgeschäft. Das Schwager Zuckerl Logo ist in ganz Linz ein Stadtsymbol. Wie viele jüdische Bürger wird auch seine Familie entrechtet, beraubt und aus Linz vertrieben. Sie können nur knapp der systematischen Vernichtungsmaschinerie entkommen.
