Description
The aim is a scientific and artistic examination of composers and musicians who were expelled, ostracized and murdered by the National Socialists. This also includes the evaluation of bequests and estates made available to the Centre and their presentation in concerts, workshops, symposia and exhibitions. The following events are planned for the year 2019:
- A Tribute to André Singer at ORF Studio 3: Due to the success of the concert at the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York, we will also broadcast an adapted program at ORF Studio 3.
- Concerts in the context of the conference "Imaging Emigration - Translating Exile" in cooperation with the Center for Jewish Studies and the University of Innsbruck at the mdw's exil.arte center. Exil.arte will not only chair panels of the conference, but also contribute concerts on the topic of the event.
- A Tribute to Michael Graubart at ORF Radiocafe - Michael Graubart was eight years old when he had to flee Vienna with his parents.
- "Focus Humor" concert at the Schönberg Center: with Pia Salome Bohnert and Linda Leine
- October 2019: Symposium in Schwerin on the subject of "Music in dictatorships
- 23 January 2020: Concert with Elisabeth Leonskaya "A Tribute to Philip Hershkowitz" in the ORF Great Hall

Ziel ist eine wissenschaftliche und künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit KomponistInnen und MusikerInnen, welche von den Nationalsozialisten vertrieben, verfemt und ermordet wurden. Dazu gehört auch die Auswertung von Vor- und Nachlässen, welche dem Zentrum zur Verfügung gestellt werden, sowie deren Präsentation in Konzerten, Workshops, Symposien und Ausstellungen. Für das Jahr 2019 sind folgende Veranstaltungen geplant: • A Tribute to André Singer im ORF Studio 3: Aufgrund des Erfolges des Konzerts im Austrian Cultural Forum in New York werden wir ein adaptiertes Programm auch im ORF Studio 3 bringen. • Konzerte im Rahmen der Konferenz „Imaging Emigration – Translating Exile“ in Kooperation mit dem Centrum für Jüdische Studien sowie der Universität Innsbruck am exil.arte Zentrum der mdw.
