Description

The travelling exhibition of Yad Vashem tells the entire history of the Shoah. Visitors are given a good historical overview of the terrible events of this sad chapter of humanity and the fate of Jews in Europe between 1938 and 1945. The exhibition deals with the most important historical aspects of the Shoah, but also shows personal stories and allows contemporary witnesses to speak. 19 panels were developed by the Museum Division of Yad Vashem, four panels with reference to Austria were added by historians in Vienna. In addition to the chronological events, the exhibition also shows thematic reflections: the Jewish reaction, the attitude of the majority of people, and the Righteous Among the Nations.
