The association Stones of Remembrance has set itself the goal of commemorating Jewish culture and Jewish life before 1938 and to commemorate in an exemplary manner the many people who were deported and murdered. The form the association has chosen for this commemoration are brass plates which are set into the pavement at the historical sites or in front of the people's former homes. For the year 2019, the laying of Stones of Remembrance is planned at 45 locations in seven districts of Vienna with a total of eight opening ceremonies. A brochure will be produced for each of the 2nd, 10th, 18th and 20th districts, as well as further accompanying folders for all other districts.

Der Verein Steine der Erinnerung hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, an die jüdische Kultur und das jüdische Leben vor 1938 zu erinnern und beispielhaft der vielen Menschen zu gedenken, die deportiert und ermordet wurden. Die Form, die der Verein für dieses Gedenken gewählt hat, sind Messingplatten, die an den geschichtlichen Orten oder vor die ehemaligen Wohnhäuser der Menschen ins Pflaster gesetzt werden. Für das Jahr 2019 ist das Verlegen von Steinen der Erinnerung an 45 Orten in sieben Wiener Bezirken mit insgesamt acht Eröffnungsfeiern geplant. Es wird jeweils eine Broschüre für die Bezirke 2., 10., 18. und 20. erstellt sowie weitere Begleitfolder für alle anderen Bezirke.
