The exhibition was presented in the Jewish Museum Hohenems from March 2008 to March 2009. A catalogue accompanying the exhibition with photos, texts and excerpts from eyewitness accounts will also be published. In cooperation with erinnern.at, the Jewish Museum offered educational programs, excursions and workshops for schools and adult education parallel to the exhibition. It showed how the industrial development of Vorarlberg after 1938 was determined by the deployment of over 10,000 slave laborers, not least in the construction of the Ill Works in Montafon. Due to their significant geographic location, Vorarlberg’s borders were a zone of transition for refugees and resistance fighters, from early 1938 until the end of the war; this was also be portrayed.

Die Ausstellung soll von Oktober 2008 bis März 2009 im Jüdischen Museum Hohenems präsentiert werden. Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog mit Fotografien, Texten und Auszügen aus Zeitzeugeninterviews. Gemeinsam mit erinnern.at bietet das Jüdische Museum parallel zur Ausstellung Vermittlungsprogramme, Exkursionen und Workshops für Schulen und die Erwachsenenbildung an. Dabei wird zu sehen sein, wie die industrielle Entwicklung in Vorarlberg nach 1938 vom Einsatz von mehr als 10.000 Zwangsarbeitern bestimmt war, nicht zuletzt bei den Kraftwerksbauten der Ill-Werke im Montafon. Aufgrund der bedeutenden geografischen Lage waren die Vorarlberger Grenzen als Zone des Übergangs von Flüchtlingen und Widerständlern, vom Frühjahr 1938 bis zum Kriegsende, was ebenfalls dargestellt wird.
