Description
The aim of the investigation was firstly to analyze the manifestation and transformation of Anti-Semitism in a parliamentary context and political resistance against it and, secondly, to reveal the work of Jewish Members of Parliament and the way in which they dealt with the Anti-Semitic trends. As the social conditions from which National Socialism arose came into being during the period under investigation, the perspectives of the victims of political and racial persecution and the further fate of former Jewish Members of Parliament after 1938 will be investigated.

Ziel der Untersuchung ist einerseits die Analyse der Manifestationen und Transformationen von Antisemitismus im parlamentarischen Kontext und des politischen Widerstands dagegen, und andererseits das Sichtbarmachen des Wirkens jüdischer Abgeordneter und ihres Umgangs mit antisemitischen Tendenzen. Da im Untersuchungszeitraum jene gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen entstehen, aus denen der Nationalsozialismus hervorgeht, wird auch die Perspektive der Opfer von politischer und rassistischer Verfolgung sowie das weitere Schicksal ehemaliger jüdischer ParlamentarierInnen nach 1938 untersucht.
