72 hours without compromise is a social initiative by young people in Austria, which was carried out by the Catholic Youth in cooperation with young Caritas and Hitradio Ö3 from 22-25 October 2008 for the 4th time. For 72 hours, around 5,000 young people aged between 14 and 25 get involved with 350 different initiatives for social and economic issues. In 2008, emphasis in the selection of projects was placed on remembrance work, dealing with Fascism, xenophobia and civil courage. On the basis of their projects, the young people dealt with these themes for three days in cooperation with project partners such as the Mauthausen Committee and the memorial service association.

72h ohne Kompromiss ist eine Jugend-Sozialaktion in Österreich, die vom 22.-25. Oktober 2008 von der Katholischen Jugend in Zusammenarbeit mit youngCaritas.at und Hitradio Ö3 bereits zum 4. Mal durchgeführt wird. Ca. 5.000 Jugendliche im Alter von 14 bis 25 Jahren engagieren sich dabei 72h lang in 350 Einzelaktionen für soziale und ökologische Anliegen. Im Jahr 2008 liegt der besondere Schwerpunkt für die Projektauswahl auf Gedenkarbeit, Auseinandersetzung mit Faschismus, Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Zivilcourage. Dafür sollen sich die Jugendlichen drei Tage lang anhand ihres Projekts mit diesen Themen beschäftigen und zusammen mit Projektpartnern wie etwa dem Mauthausenkomitee und dem Verein Gedenkdienst Projekte in dem Bereich realisieren.
