Gedenkstein für die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus im Gebiet der Gemeinde Kautzen

 

To mark the Year of Remembrance 2008, the Catholic Education Center of the Municipality of Kautzen formed a project group to deal with the history of the Municipality during the National Socialist era and its victims. Within the scope of the project, a remembrance ritual mostly considered from the perspective of 1945 was broken down and standard discourse on the “war years” called into question. Focus was not only placed on local places, perpetrators and victims but also on people’s own environments. Actual fates of real people were portrayed and archival research on the fate of the victims from Kautzen during the National Socialist era carried out.

Anlässlich des Gedenkjahres 2008 hat sich im Rahmen des Katholischen Bildungswerkes der Gemeinde Kautzen eine Projektgruppe zusammen gefunden, die sich mit der Geschichte der Gemeinde in der NS-Zeit und deren Opfer beschäftigt. Im Rahmen des Projekts soll meist aus der Perspektive von 1945 gedachtes Erinnerungsritual, aufbrechen und somit auch normierte Diskurse über die "Kriegszeit" hinterfragt werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen nicht nur nahe Orte, Täter und Opfer, sondern auch der Bereich der eigenen Lebenswelt. Konkrete Schicksale konkreter Personen werden dargestellt sowie Archivrecherchen zum Schicksal der Kautzner Opfer der NS-Zeit durchgeführt.
