“Gideon's Dream" – School play

In November 2008, the Zwi Perez Chajes School and the Jehuda Halevi Music School and the Jewish Community Vienna performed “Gideon’s dream” during a remembrance ceremony for the pogrom in November 1938. “Gideon’s dream”, a musical from the memoires of Gideon Sorokin, who was born to Jewish parents in Vienna in 1930, takes his public back to the year 1938. Gideon experiences the beginning of the Shoah as an eight-year-old boy. The production “Gideon’s dream” is based on these events and impressions of the “night of broken glass”.

Die Zwi Perez Chajes Schule hat gemeinsam mit der Jehuda Halevi Musik Schule und der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde Wien im November 2008 ""Gideons Traum"" im Rahmen der Gedenkveranstaltungen zum Pogrom November 1938 aufgeführt. ""Gideons Traum"" - ein Musical, aus den Memoiren von Gideon Sorokin, der 1930 als Sohn jüdischer Eltern in Wien geboren wurde, führt sein Publikum in das Jahr 1938. Gideon erlebt den Beginn der Shoa als achtjähriger Bub, und auf diesen Ereignissen und Eindrücken der ""Reichskristallnacht"" beruht die Produktion von ""Gideons Traum"".
