Therese Zauser left the parochial town of Feldkirch at an early age, became an artist and travelled through North Africa and many Mediterranean countries to work as a singer and dancer in variety theatres and clubs. The intention of this project is to trace her paths and to gain a picture of her and of the places. A search for traces on historical paths using contemporary cinematic means, creating a present where a past was murdered in the concentration camp Ravensbrück. The project seeks to retrace traces of the routes, to initiate contemporary film portraits of the historical sites by local filmmakers, to trace the path to her arrest and to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, and to explore a historical as well as contemporary view of the connections between Europe and the Mediterranean countries.

Therese Zauser verließ früh das enge Feldkirch, wurde Artistin und reiste durch Nordafrika und viele Mittelmeerländer, um dort in Varietés und Clubs als Sängerin und Tänzerin zu arbeiten. Ihre Wege nachzuzeichnen und ein Bild von ihr, von den Orten zu bekommen, ist Intention dieses Projekts. Eine Spurensuche auf historischen Wegen mit zeitgenössischen filmischen Mitteln, die eine Gegenwart kreieren, wo eine Vergangenheit im KZ Ravensbrück ermordet wurde. Das Projekt sucht Spuren der Wege nachzuzeichnen, zeitgenössische Filmporträts der historischen Orte von ansässigen Filmschaffenden zu initiieren, den Weg in die Verhaftung und in das KZ Ravensbrück nachzugehen und einen historischen wie zeitgenössischen Blick auf die Verbindungen von Europa zu den Mittelmeerländern zu erkunden.
